Rather Inelegant Semi-Permanent Journal Fixture
As the holiday season wanes further, and the dust settles comfortably on my camera lenses, I've decided to make this semi-permanent journal fixture to fully explain my motives and ambitions in regard to dA.
I've finally figured out what I want my photography to be. I have not the patience for landscapes, the charisma for urban, the inspiration for fashion. I do, however, have a wonderful family and a life I appreciate. It might not seem like much, but I've decided to do my best capturing the happy moments and quiet moments I spend with myself and with others; not minding the "art" too much, using my camera as a means of memory rather than a
Adventures of the Average
Hello, hello, hello!
First and foremost, I am the proud mother of a brand new baby Canon Rebel T1i. It is beautiful and we are very happy together. I have wanted this camera for a long time, and I think the quality of my shots has already started improving. It took a while to upload the new deviations due to a bug in the dA submissions process, but they're uploading now! They're mostly not in my featured gallery but under "browse," since they are mostly experiments on which I would truly appreciate critique. I am so pleased to announce that today my page hit 3,001 pageviews! I believe it was leipre (https://www.deviantart.com/leipre) who captured that three-thousandth visit, so massive gratitude there! I do my best to reply to comments and in turn comment as often as possible, since being on dA is always a fun artistic experience

Summer 2009 Features!
It's been far more than 6 months since my last set of Features, so I thought that once again I'd showcase one piece each from artists that I've now added to my watchlist. Enjoy!

The first deviant for this feature is darmodej (https://www.deviantart.com/darmodej), who has some intriguing black and white photographs uploaded. This is my favorite from his modest but noteworthy gallery, due to the interesting shadows.

Whoever said Disney is just for kids has never seen art by davidkawena (https://www.deviantart.com/davidkawena). He redraws and renders the Disney characters beautifully and has some great original pieces of his own.
